Ever found yourself needing to consult your washing machine manual to check the detail about a certain wash cycle or because you need a spare part for washing machine repairs?
It can be really frustrating when you find that you don’t have the manual. There used to be a time when people moved house and took their electrical appliances with them. However, even though domestic appliances are lighter and more reliable than they used to be, people are far less likely to leave them behind these days – partly because of the fashion for built-in appliances. So, being a practical sort of a bloke, my first top tip is if you are moving house and leaving your washing machine or other domestic appliance then please leave the manual behind as well!
The manual is full of useful information for an appliance owner, from operating instructions to tips on maintenance to avoid the need for common washing machine repairs. Luckily, the internet has made it easier to get replacement manuals. All you need to know is the make, model, and sometimes serial number of your appliance. The make and model are usually shown in a prominent place next to the controls.
Here’s some of the more popular washing machine manufacturers and where to download their manuals:
• Hotpoint washing machines, including Creda and Ariston: Hotpoint manuals.
• Indesit washing machines: Indesit manuals.
• LG washing machines: LG manuals.
• Miele washing machines: Miele manuals.
• Neff washing machines: Neff manuals.
• Zanussi washing machines: Zanussi manuals.
For other brands just search for the manufacturers website and take it from there.
